ASSENTRA Limited was founded in April 2012 after veterinary surgeon Paul Cooper left Merial SAS, following a career spanning three decades in varied technical roles in May and Baker, Rhone Mérieux and Merial. Paul’s most recent corporate responsibility was setting up and leading Merial’s European Lifecycle Management department.
Paul has had hands-on operational experience and management responsibilities for regulatory procedure, as well as management of regulatory lifecycle activities for both veterinary pharmaceuticals and vaccines across the European Union. Focussed on achieving Business objectives through regulatory means, Paul successfully resolves difficult issues by working with the regulatory authorities.
Paul is convinced of the importance of networking and association in improving the regulatory environment for animal health, to the benefit of all stakeholders, not least to the health and wellbeing of our patients and their owners and the veterinary surgeons and others who care for them. Paul has worked in various committees in the National Office of Animal Health (NOAH) and International Federation of Animal Health (IFAH) and is now active in several veterinary and regulatory organisations.
